Rasam, chaaru, saaru or kabir is a South Indian soup, traditionally prepared using Tamarind as a base, with the addition of Chilli, Pepper, Cumin and other spices as seasonings. This South Indian delicacy has been prepared in a powder form with different flavours (Horsegram, Thippili, Neem Flower). The resulting end product shall be consumed as a soothing soup on a rainy day.
Long pepper also called ‘Indian long pepper’ is a flowering vine. It is are also called ‘pippali‘. Instructions for use
Take 1 table spoon in a small vessel
Add 1 cup of water and mix well
Allow to boil on the stove top for 3 minutes ‘Long Pepper Rasam’ is ready to serve.
