Khichdi is prepared in many varieties by adding different ingredients. Even the South Indian style Pongal can be called as Khichdi. It is a complete meal by itself.  This Kichdi mix is prepared using the combination of hand pounded green moong and Barnyard Millet.

Instructions for use:

  • Add four cups of water for one cup of Khichdi Mix
  • Soak for 10 minutes
  • Pressure cook until 3 whistles or more (Depends on the cooker to cook Dal)
  • Stir well
  • Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and add ghee. Mix well if needed. Add salt and mix well
  • Serve it hot with Sambar and/or Chutney or Avial.
