Khichdi is prepared in many varieties by adding different ingredients. Even the South Indian style Pongal can be called as Khichdi. It is a complete meal by itself. This Kichdi mix is prepared using the combination of hand pounded green moong and Barnyard Millet.
Instructions for use:
Add four cups of water for one cup of Khichdi Mix
Soak for 10 minutes
Pressure cook until 3 whistles or more (Depends on the cooker to cook Dal)
Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and add ghee. Mix well if needed. Add salt and mix well
Serve it hot with Sambar and/or Chutney or Avial.
